has anyone just change the epc or had it change and it fixed the problem with the hard shifting when the trans gets hot? how hard is it to take the side cover off without completly removing the trans? money is tight every trans shop wants to rebuild. other then that problem the trans is fine. i emailed the trannyman he says it a 50-50 chance that it could fix the problem due to the mileage he says i can try replacing the epc and maybe installing a transgo shift kit. just trying to see what others have done ? thank for ant input

You'll have to drop the cradle on the diver side and pull the side cover. It's not difficult to do if you're mechanically inclined but it's a several hour job

Also try to disconnect the battery, then touch the two wires together for 5 seconds then let the car sit overnight, reconnect the battery in the morning and see what happens.

Buy the ZZP/ Trango (I have the ZZP) shift kit, install the biggest double stack cooler you can fit in the grille (I have 2 18,000 GVW coolers), remove the cooler lines from the radiator totally so that the tranny fluid is cooled solely by the coolers, and change the fluid to Dexron VI. Fixed my hard shift issue 15,000 miles ago. Have not had an issue once in that time. 105,000 miles on my 4T65E tranny.
