:confused:Well finally my car gave me a check engine code and the codes are p0101 and p0172. Any one have any input of what it is or what area should i be checking. Just a reminder i just had my headers, and coil pack done so would this be the problem, could it be the fuel filter in my car that may need change, MAF sensor, vap. i am just wondering if any one has gone through this problem before that could have some input in what to check. :th_shakinghead2:

yeah i made a thread involving the p0172 code and nobody responded. my guess is it could be the oxygen sensor. what is the p0101 code? they are probly related.

Yeah that is something the scanner kind of guided me to but not sure exactly what is wrong because everything is in line so i am alll ??????????

if its giving you a maf code replace the maf. that what i did when i had that code and it went away. they are real pricey new though. got mine at the junk yard 35 bucks and works great.

Ill try that out and see what happens i hope its just that i want to make my car run normal again lol is there a difference in a grand prix MAF to a GTP MAF or even the years ?? cause i dont wanna put a sensor that is gonna mess up my car any ideas?

Before you spend money on a MAF, grab some electrical parts cleaner, hold it a foot away or so and give it a few sprays. It just may be dirty. Also make sure the wiring is not damaged. The MAFs should be the same but dont quote me on that.
