no need for the butthurt lol pretty close community here and certianly one of the best most active forums i know of.......

people bust each others balls around here daily. including giving and taking some hits but if it really bothers people that bad guess maybe they should turn the internet off and flush whatever means you have to access it down the nearest toilet.....

No regrets. You are Trying to spread bad information in order to scam people so im trying to figure out the best way to explain how wrong you are. Posting that you are wrong with detailed explanation is not enough for you to acknowledge or understand so i need to find another medium or approach. I further went on to create constructive conversation on the topic discussing youtube video or maybe just a post with pictures and screenshots?

I've never been able to go through a DH tuned PCM but I've gone through several overkill PCM's while doing street or dyno tunes in-car.
What's in there is interesting to say the least...

But seriously, I'm certainly willing to have a healthy and productive banter on tuning any day, especially with someone more knowledgeable on the subject than myself, but this thread is full of shenanigans, if you and I were capable of having that discussion on this forum it would have happened in this thread.
 


Why don't you post some of your conquests (DH), or a tune for everyone to examine and arrive at that Aaaaaaah!!! Moment...

I for one have an Overkill tune, was very happy with what it provided at the time. Have since moved on, invested in my own HPT and gone my own way. An amateur by any measure (tuning). But I disagree with quite a few points you've (DH) made, such as not needing adjustments to create more power as the stock tune is well enough. It's just not so... Also, that KR on stock engine has mechanical issues. Not at all a valid statement, but maybe I missed something in interpreting what I read.

My impression is there's much arrogance in your posts, not saying this in a negative light, only that there is little susbstance associated with the semantics. Maybe you feel it unnecessary, or beneath you, but without it (substance), your posts are empty. Give specific examples (tune) and let others (who dare) use your knowledge and by example, show you have a valid way, just different than others, to achieve the same goals.

I recall a maxim told to me in my martial arts training, seemingly fitting here...

"there are many paths to the top of the mountain, but for those who arrive there, the view is all the same!"

I think you guys need to post up some of your own tunes and let each other rip the others apart on what they did wrong......
 
If you think kr is an acceptable design criteria for a car gm released into the wild then you are just looking at this through jaded glasses. Gm spent millions tuning this car and they had millions at stake satisfying the customer as well as preventing warranty damage. Ive driven and scanned my gtp for over 100k miles with a stock tune and a stock exhaust with a ubend delete and never found any significant knocking. Same goes for a handful of other factory stock gtps ive scanned.

So remember when you are attacking my argument remember that you are really attacking a team of highly paid calibration engineers at gm that put this together.

And your dig at my empty posts is just because you want to take everything out of context. I recently posted another thread that ive refrenced as well as i imply the many projects i talk about on here in other threads ( stock tune 3.2pulley e85 gtp, 6+ 10 second turbo cars ive tuned/built, countless m90 stuff)
 
I won't go so far as saying that I've scanned or looked at quite as many vehicles as either of you two, but almost every GP, Regal, or SSEi that I've put my Aeroforce or HPT on has had varying degrees of knock at WOT. Especially NA vehicles.

The only stock tune car that had zero KR was DP/Plog intake SSEi that belonged to a friend of mine.

Not trying to say anyone is wrong, just sharing my experience, and possibly am also looking for some explanation.

My own car had anywhere between 6-8* of KR anytime you went WOT, regardless of octane, whilst stock. And nothing was wrong with it... Mechanically speaking anyways.
 


I know nothing of tuning, frankly its all a blurr when they type paragraphs, I want a tune from will, just dunno if he is in bc or in Toronto still, but its interesting to see dark poking the polar bear :th_popcorn:
 
yeah, he used to be in Toronto (5 hours away) now hes in Nanaimo, like 35 hours away, but im moving to alberta in January, only issue is I need a tune before I go so I can drive my car out...
