Overkill PCM now Stalling rough start

hey everyone i just installed a overkill tuned pcm into my 03 grand prix gtp
my problem is if i let off the gas my car now stalls, im not getting any SES lights probally because i cant drive it far enough to let it register, my car will start up (hard) and then within about 30-40 seconds of idleing it decides to stall. also if i drive arround, if i come to a stop sign it stalls.

When installing the pcm i Disconected the ECM fuse and the battery as suggested in overkills instructions.

Now my question is, what is causing this to happen and where should I look to solve this issue.

I advise you not to drive it otherwise, until you get it situated. sounds like it could be a timing problem goodluck

Put the mesh back in your throttle body.

As for a case re-learn, you would get a DTC if it was required.

ok just an update, replaced the battery and not DTC is coming up, i took video ill upload it shortly to show you guys whats hapening

when you put the pcm in were you flooring it right away? my buddy had a similar problem cuz he was rapin it right away needa retune cuz everything got messed up

Unplug the MAF as well...and try to start it...if it starts fine and idles fine with the MAF unplugged then you need a new one...if nothing changes...then that rules that out.

Possibly damaged?

No idea...it needs to idle anyways and re-learn the fuel trims.

Something else...do you have a rear o2 or a o2 sim in there? That could be another issues as well.

tried the maf, car got worse so we can rule that out
also no i didnt floor it i cant even drive it lol i had to two foot arround my block

Maybe rename the vid, looks like your implying that the tune trashed your motor, which may not be the case. Ive had my overkill tune for about two months on my 3.4 set up and have had no problems

Agreed.

This was previous damage.

Possibly done from the lack of scanning/no tune on a 3.4" setup.

Will is a great guy and has great products...I have never heard of anyone putting in a PCM...regardless of vendor..and their motor blowing up on start-up.

yeah will is awsome :) but vid is implying last mod before death, changed the name of vid.
so you guys think the engine is toast?

Toast is a nice way to put it...your list of mods now includes:

3.4"
Pacesetters
K&N Intake
Junkyard Short Block
New Gaskets
New Coolant
New Oil/Filters
Hopes and Dreams

broken rod bearing or not, it should still run fine.

I <3 your sarcasm, asphalt man.

Well time to get a scangauge, and build a badass 2.8 setup.

No....don't doet.

You're right!

Get a GT that you wont mod, then mod it XD

But Blue's list looks right...save the hopes and dreams..Those just got squished.

But, with that being said, as long as the valvetrain is good, get a short block. Slap the heads, LIM, S/C, yada yada on, with new gaskets, and headers, and ta-dah!
