• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Overheating!!

ok so I got my my coolant return elbows replaced, that was 1,2,3 easy, done did. Now I've got another issue. Before I got it fixed it got hot, almost in the red. What would be one of the first gaskets to fail under the brutal heat. I got oil on my intake plenum so I'm assuming it's the gasket for the supercharger but not sure. In the past day in a half it's burnt up about a quart of oil. Don't think I cracked the head or anything it wasn't that hot for that long.

No I fixed the coolant elbows already, the problem started after that. I found out my mass airflow and and throttle sensor's are going out that's why it's running like crap. I still haven't figured out where the oil is going though. I've lost about 3/4 of a quart in the past three days. There isn't a big puddle of oil underneath it, just a small one, not enough to equal that amount and from the smell of the exhaust and the look of the spark plugs it's not burning any oil either

could be air in the system, just a guess though. doesnt exaplain the loss of oil, but you could try bleeding the coolant system.

If it's mixing with the antifreeze doesn't it usually show up in the oil system, instead of the oil showing up in the coolant system?

Well funny thing is, when it happened to mine, the oil in the dipstick looked fine 4 some odd reason and when i drained the oil 2 change it, it looked like mustard. I shouldve recorded that crap. I had 2 change my lim gaskets. Drain out a little bit of it and c what it looks like, then u know 4 sure.
