Overheating issue =-(

Hey Guys thank you for all the help.

The "straw" from the top of the reservoir cap fell to the bottom. I pulled the reservoir out, dumped the coolant in a clean bucket and fished out the straw. I think over the years it expanded and it was super loose on the cap. Anyhow i put a ziptie around it...then put everything back together. Filled the reservoir up a bit and started the car with the Rad cap off. I followed Scottie's directions to bleed the system and it went much better this time, when the fans started i bled it until i got a good solid stream, then topped off the rad side and capped it. Engine temp is normal now =-) Thank you so much for the help guys!
I think last night i was just not bleeding it properly or something because it doesn't make sense to me why i just kept getting steam even though the straw had fell off the cap.

I think the straw fell off a while back....its my GF car so i don't drive it everyday...anyhow i noticed it was missing when i squeezed the tube from the rad to the LIM i could hear it trying to "suck" back and forth on the reservoir cap...so i assume what happened is that over time it just collected air in the coolant system...eventually causing it to not run at the proper temp!
