Outside temp gauge on climate control

99prixgt

club of used to own a gp
Since i bought my car in June I noticed the outside temp on the climate control was never reading correctly. It would say 34* when it was really 97*
does anyone know how to fix this?

Probably just a bad sensor. Consider replacing it.

Only place you would probably be able to get one however is the junkyard or the dealer. Do you have a junkyard locally?

Mine was like this when I bought it too. It was the sensor. It's really not very expensive at all from the dealer and is pretty easy to change. It's up in front of the radiator took me 5 min to change. My A/C wouldn't work on auto because of it being bad.

ohh I think i know where it is, i was looking at it when i put on my DP, im like what the hell is this . But yeah there is a junkyard about 15 miles from my house. Maybe il check there since the dealer had been ripping me off lately :th_shakinghead2:

Did this fix it? I have seen other posts on here stating that its just a matter of changing the wiring too to change to farenheit from celsius.
