• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Me and my brother want to get into something like that. Atleast once I can make my way back home. Maybe get a old beater yota or something we can put a good suspension on, but not have to worry to much about banging the body up.

Yeah, Land Rover's are not cheap by any means, and it's not exactly the easiest thing in the world keeping one spotless on the inside when your using it for expeditions and such.

But that's what they're made for. It kills me when someone take one and throws some big a$$ rims and rubber band tires on them. Any 4X4 for that matter.

this was the perfect toy...had alot of fun in this old truck 87 toyota 4x4 on 35's 6 inch lift and 3 in body lift.

****, we have to have a FOID to even eyeball a gun let alone touch it. 24 hour hold on rifles/shotguns and a 3 day hold on handguns. I feel violated for some odd reason.

Damn, that sucks dude. Sounds like you live in Jersey.

But I hunt, camp, hike, shoot, etc. Anything outdoors, I like it. Don't fish much. But if a bunch of friends are going, I will tag along. Out here in the middle of nowhere, outdoors activities are the only thing to do.

430*ILCS*65/**Firearm+Owners+Identification+Card+Act.

In 1968, Illinois enacted legislation to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of the public by providing a system of identifying persons who are not qualified to acquire or possess firearms and firearm ammunition within the State of Illinois. The Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) Act established a practical and workable system to identify persons prohibited by Section 24-3.1 of the "Criminal Code of 1961" as amended, from acquiring or possessing firearms and firearm ammunition. The Illinois State Police was given the responsibility of administering the Act.

There are approximately 1.2 million valid FOID card holders. Approximately 210,000-220,000 applications are processed annually by the Firearms Services Bureau. In 2002, 4,642 applications were denied and 6,926 FOID cards were revoked as a result of the extensive review process which identifies individuals whom are prohibited from possessing or acquiring firearms and firearm ammunition.

All Illinois residents who buy or possess firearms are required by law to have a valid FOID card. FOID applications can be obtained from any firearm's dealer, law enforcement agency, or printed from the Internet. FOID cards are valid for 10 years from the date of issuance. To obtain a FOID card, complete an application and forward it along with a $10.00 fee and a photograph to the Illinois State Police, Firearm Owner's Identification Unit, Post Office Box 19233, Springfield, Illinois 62794-9233.

Atleast it aint Hitler......right? ...............right? :th_thumb-down:

even after all that BS, some places you cant have firearms in your possession, not your house, not your person, not your car, mostly handgun bans but damn.

The NRA-ILA is all over this, a few cities have dropped their bans to avoid lawsuits.

Yeah, NJ does something similar....it is crap.

I like living in PA. Nothing banned. No wait periods. No FOID cards. No BS.

Yeah thats got to suck. Luckly NC dosent have that many restrictions when it come to firearms. The waiting period would suck esp. when it comes to gun shows. If you dont have a conceled carry permit in NC, you have to go to the local sheriff's office and it takes 2 to 3 days for them to run a background check and give you a permit (Handguns at is). As far as Rifles/shotguns go, as long as your not on drugs(that they can tell) any major convictions, domestic abuse/violence or are an illegal immigrant you can go into a gunshop, pick out what u like, fill out the paperwork, they call in your info and if your clear, then your heading out with your new toy. the same day no waiting period.
