• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

A friend of mine wants to race me in his 99 Eclipse GS-T, As far as I know all that's on it is the stock turbo, stock intercooler, and he just put a brand new transmission in.
Do I stand a chance in my GP GT 3.8? All I've got so far is an FWI and AL 104 plugs.

Oh and also my friend just got a Sebring Jxi convertible and she wants to race, I'm assuming our GPs would destroy sebrings..?

With the GS-T I am afraid you would probably loose if he can drive. They are a bit lighter cars with equal power to your GT. Sebring should be no problem.

Yeah, if he did a 3" turbo back, cone filter, and boost controller it would prolly stand to take a GTP. It is like tuning a EJ powered soobie...a tune nets a bone stock EJ25 nearly 40hp and 50 ft. lbs of torque, depending on the tuner.

I ran a Talon with a few mods and put bus lengths on him but my mod list is quite big. I'd say you MIGHT have him off the line but he will pull you up top with that turbo for sure. But you won't know until you run him...right?? ;)

The Chrysler. Chew that thing up and spit it out.

99Prix - I would love to take those off your hands..just need some time to gather the cash, if you still have it in a few weeks you have my word I'll buy it.
BlueGTP - Yeah, he has a boost controller and a turbotimer. & Haha yeah, figured so much about the chrysler :th_thumbsup-wink:

Hey Blue, don't forget the OP has a GT...not a GTP...

Yeah...I was just comparing...I've seen a few bolt-ons 2G's and 1G's at the local track...FWD and AWD not break out of the 15's...that is why I said he might have him off the line with the 3800 torque but the turbo would take it...and if the guy cranked up the boost with no tune or anything it might have made it a bit slower...who knows ???

He said all he's done is TWO turbotimers (for some reason) and an intake. Hasn't gotten it tuned at all

A turbo timer just allows your car to still run after you get out of the car for a short period of time so that the turbo cools down slowly and doesn't burn what oil you have in the turbo. Its mostly like wiring in a remote start in your car, so next time you see him, tell him you have 2 remote starts in your car.

HAHA didn't know that..I'll have to mention that to him.
He's got a boost controller as well, says he bought a bigger intercooler but hasn't installed it yet
