• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Out with the old, in with the new

As some of you know this car is my dd, therefore it only gets show mods, after doing some research i found out the GXP speedo was a plug and play.

So after hunting down a GXP speedo, i finally jumped the gun and bought it today locally.

Onto the pictures

I drove the car around the block to ensure that all gauges were in working condition. I couldnt be any happier. :th_biggrin3:

70 and 80 are at about the same spot, and 140 and 180 are in about the same spot, so I imagine your speedo is off?

speedo's on GM's are typically 4000 pulses per mile. Relational space on the cluster usually doesn't factor in. :th_thumbsup-wink:

May i ask how much you paid?

They can be found anywhere from 100 to 300, seems like.

Even with the difference in speedo limits there is no need to recalibrate??

no, i cant remember where, ive read its control by the BCM. I CAN BE WRONG

Yea, it says GXP,my car is far from being a GXP and by no means im claiming mine is one.
i just like the looks of it, ill probably look into removing the GXP logo but WHY? im the only one driving this car.

The differences between the stock GT cluster are:

-Metal brush look around the gauges and of course the black inside the gauges.
-Smother/round numbers
-No intermitent lines in bewteen the speedo, tach and fuel gauge.
-The red line marks for the tach, fuel and temperature are smoother and solid.

thanks
