• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

OUCH

Yeah me to. But Appearently we are wrong. I called my Lawyer(best friend of mine) and he said theres no chance in hell of beating these tickets and they stick you hard with them. We will see....

Man that sux...I thought you could go BALLS out till the limit..... Glad you found out for all of us....:th_jester:

Maryland too, cops suck there. what got ya? a marked car, or one of them chargers that look like anyone from this site would drive? all tinted out, chrome rims, nice looking cars, to bad cops drive them.

my advise in this case is, go to court on your court date. lol get there early look for the line of people waiting to talk to the man in the suit, hes the prosecutor, talk to him and if he and the cop agree some of those may get dropped, dress nice and be polite. and if you pulled right over and gave to cop no crap, it all may work out in the end.

i would just never pay/plead guilty to 3 moving violations, they always bend a little, unless you have a real bad record or gave the cop crap.

State marked car got me. He was hiding under the underpass support. I have no real previous traffic citations in the last 10 years. I think I will plead guilty with explaination, and talk to the judge. My friend says if yoyu fight it and lose which he assures me I will that they will not lighen the charges.

see the prosecutor, cant hurt, that guilty with explanation crap just tells the judge you knew what you were doing, and your guilty, if the prosecutor puts it down to be dismissed, the judge will just ask if the cop agrees, and done. it wont be brought up again.

i've been in traffic court more times than i would like to tell. trying to get your point across to the judge wont work.

they do offer here in NJ a bigger fine in exchange for NO points, and no surcharge payments. but that doubles the fine most of the time, and is only offered to those who have a clean lic.

would you be able to go with deferred adjudication on one charge, defensive driving on another and plead guilty for the lesser of the three?

IDK I just got the ticket. Im sending it in tomorrow to get a court date to speak with the judge Im taking the online course as we speak to show how awesome I am. Ill update after my day in court

most of the time you GET the big ticket, and the lesser ones get dropped, all depends on how bad the cop thinks you were driving. and your attitude at the time of the ticket. yes sir and thank you sir and not acting a fool goes a long way.

ive been nailed to the cross also lol and got every ticket issued as well, it was all the cop being a dick. if he wants the charges to stick, they stick.

Damn ****ty. I think it was November 12th I got nailed for doing a burnout all the way to 50mph (5 over the speed limit)... with a cop directly behind me. Was showing off to a coworker beside me, didn't look around first.

I told the cop I was being an idiot and showing off, that I had no excuse, and that he had me dead to rights.

I got a noise ordinance violation and a warning.

BUT having no previous violations helps. And having to inform the officer you are carrying a concealed handgun as soon as they approached the car, kinda throws them off their game.

I was nice, Appologized to the officer for my lack of judgement, and thanked him for the ticket. I covered all my base's during the incident

Im very concerned I will get nailed and end up getting droped from my works insurance rendering me unemployed. im selling this damn car lol

Sounds like you got a small-DICK of a cop. I don't know about MD, but in OH I once got out of a 103 in a 60 simply by getting a lawyer and telling him I'd pay any fine just as long as I didn't get any points/violations. Cost me $436 but it didn't stay on paper. Also, no previous violations goes a LOOOONG way.

in that case you may want to call a lawyer, they can get stuff dropped, no points and stuff. it always seemed to me that if you are paying for a lawyer the fines are always lower. ive sat through a lot of courts waiting to be heard, as my last name starts with a R, so im always waiting till the end to be called. cases with a lawyer are always heard first.

To be racing, there must be another vehicle involved. So there's something.
Also, ticket's no good if cop doesn't show up in front of the judge. Some don't bother with the overtime.
