Hey

I'll be moving to Ottawa in a month or so and just wondering if there are many Ottawa members on here. I don't know Ottawa at all, but i'm sure i'll start figuring it out pretty fast.

I'm not into the whole car meet thing anymore, but sometimes its always nice to have locals near by when your wanting to do a car wash day or an extra pair of hands when doing some work on the car.

Hey, welcome to Ottawa, not much in the way of figuring out with this city - pretty easy to navigate, sure you've settled nicely if ya've been here since March.

Some tips you might find useful - I get all my OE parts from CAPS Auto in the West End - 613-727-0300 @ 28 Capital Drive. Ask for Rizak and mention that Ben with the 'infamous Grand Prix" sent you - Amazing deals dude, I've saved a boatload of cash with them, you might be amazed at the prices.

For service work I highly recommend Union Auto on Old Richmond Road - Dealt with them today for the first time, had to get my resonator and front passenger-side hub assembly replaced. I bought the resonator from CAPS for $49.99 (couldn't find one for less then $127 anywhere else in the city), hub assembly was $67 - was quoted $201 tax included for the work @ 2 hours labour, $89 per hour and that's exactly how much I paid, nothing extra, no surprises. Really impressed with service, very reasonable and wasn't left wondering what's going on.

They also have a pretty sweet junk yard on-site, 2000 grand prix in the yard, same color as mine, will be going back for some parts soon.

I am from Ottawa too but am not at all mechanically inclined. That is my boyfriends department.

All of the stuff I needed to buy in order to fix my car (2000 Grand Prix GT) came from Prime Choice Auto Parts. They have at least two locations that I know about (one in Stittsville, the other at 1740 Bank).

They have good prices and decent parts. I bought 4 Rotors, Pads all around, & 2 Rear Hub Assemblies for 245 + tax. No special "know the guy" discounts. That's their prices. It doesn't include installation, but they're easy to install anyways.

Just thought I'd mention that place since the prices are good and decent enough parts.
