Orange glow in hood

gotgtp

New member
I'm thinking about getting some orange/amber LED lights and putting them in my hood vents to create an orange glow. Maybe even behind the grills. I don't want it too bright but just a noticeable soft glow. Let me know what you guys think. Cool idea? Have anyone done this that you know of.

I took a pic but I'm having trouble uploading it. It's the same hood and grill that's in my profile pic.

Nice. I really want red but the cops will have a field day with me if I do that.

I don't have any pics because i haven't had that car in about 6 years but it looked good for what it was.

Being young and dumb unfused wires from the battery to a switch inside the car. Wires burned up once.

Jakescoots - that's not a bad idea.

Matt - that's badazz!!!

At least you got the video to say you had them like that. Those are awesome.

You could probably use the blinker/driving light as the power source since it will blink with the blinker and it will be on once you put it in drive unless you want to run a switch

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I'm looking to do this maybe next weekend. My buddy was talking about hooking up a relay so the that and the turn signal would alternate when I use it.
