well i put up a progress thread for my 02 cavalier(which 41 of you have looked at,but 1 commented..really its not that bad -_-) anyway the one comment said "if the front lip, rockers, and rear valance were a solid contrasting color, it'd look really clean." well i kinda like the red LSS kit so o figured id do somethin with the front lip..well here is an idea of mine that i drew up in MS paint..

010mod.jpg

as u can see it has the bottom of the lip in red and its brought up to meet the red of the bumper kinda ties it in with the rest of the red OEM kit(btw that currently is black duct tape on there..gettin that damn thing to stay on right was pissin me off).. opinions????

ill put a better pic(w/o duct tape) so if any of you PS wizards wanna gimme some ideas then plz do

Not to be harsh, remember this is my opinion I dont mean to step on toes but....
I never have liked cavaliers, and i think the exhaust sticks out too far and is kinda fart canish.

well, hey no toes stepped on, its not my 1st choice in cars mind you either..trust me wanted this GP GT i found real cheap(had top swap off my junk gtp planned :/,gpt sold out under me)..this was the really best car i could get at the time for the cash i had..for what it is its not bad..and the muffler was on it when bought..havent fixed it as it sounds good..im ignoring that its ugly..

It looks really clean. :) I do like the ride height.
thats what im goin for is a clean while still modded look..like its almost factory but how they shoulda made the LS Sport ya know..thats why it still has the factory 16s on it...and thank you..that turned out much much better than me n my buddy expected as we did it in likr 3 hrs in his driveway..just hope the lowering springs dont f*ck up my stock stuts :th_mischievious:

You work with what you have. I've no bones about Cavaliers. Now if I see a park bench on there I might have some words. ;)

ya thats never happening..i hate those..its keeping the stock spoiler, looks pretty good..and this was about the front lip..please go to the progress thread for anymore comments. lookin for opinions on he very 1st pic posted..

Well my opinion... I dont think anything on a car should be different colors to stand out unless theres reason.

Faster cars racing stripes and accenting are meh alright (not my thing either). I think a car should just look sleek and paint should be one color throughout. On a slow cavalier... Yeah just paint everything red to match.

One thing I would never want is my car to stand out when I had no way to back up the reasoning for standing out.

If I owned that car...I'd do 2 things.

1) Tint the windows.
2) Save the rest of your money and sell it to buy a car you want.

Duh.

As said above. would do the lip one solid color. tint the windows. not a bad looking car but also not a fan of cavalier/sunfire.

I'm sure that "sell it and buy something different" is not what you wanted to hear, but when you ask for honest opinions, you gonna get honest opinions.

That being said, if it's something you have no intention of getting rid of, and you want to make the best of it...then do it. F*ck what other people think right? You got the 2.2, save some coin and give Hahn a call, shut the haterz up.....kidding, haterz neva shut up.

If you do plan on getting something else later, and it's not the car you really wanna put money into, then don't. Save your money, just keep the cavy clean and running. Modding something you plan to sell as soon as you can is a double waste, you lose money on mods, and on the resale.

My opinion...
everything back to red
tint the windows
clay bar, wax, sealant
Leave it be

eh hey opinions are opinions..i expected a bit of hate on a gp site drivin a cav..no big deal..as for scrapping it and gettin rid of it..no
,i had the bigger v6 gtp..was quick but killed me in gas,and this car is good on gas and isnt really that slow, top speed, yes but with the proper driver(prolly not me) its quick to get to that slow top speed

as for the paint everything red idea...noooooo i hate a solid color car,too damn boring..this car a solid color is as boring as hell to see,i happen to like the lil black/red combo

and eh i have considered, motor mods(turbo,inter-cooler,built up internals,2 1/2-3" exhaust..etc,not really a motor guy)..ik there is stuff i can do/have done to the 2.2 eco that will shut you "its slow" guys up in a heartbeat..just gotta get the cash for it

all in all its what i got,i dont see me getting another car anytime soon here so this is my DD/project..keep hatin, ill keep laughin cuz i reaallly dont care good day to you all :th_thumbsup-wink:

Well if your gonna keep it...fix the lip, tint the windows...and fix the exhaust...because it looks poopy.

Intake, TB, Tune, UD Pullies, Poly Mounts, Short Shifter, Header, Catted DP, quiet-ish catback is better for the non-rice side of things.
