Winter is quickly approaching. I live fairly close to the ocean, and not only that but they tend to salt the hell out of the roads in my area for the littlest amounts of snow. As we know our cars are fairly prone to rust, and I've seen first hand what can happen to our rocker panels..
I bought my car last winter so this will be the first whole winter I've owned it. The underside of my car is in pretty good shape (despite rust holes in my mufflers), and I would like to keep it that way. So my question is, what do you guys think of taking my car to a garage to have them undercoat it? Is it worth the cost, or even the time, to help preserve my car?
I would like to (try to) do it myself, but I can't get the car any higher than jack stands, so I probably wouldn't be able to do the best job.
So, opinions?
