I"m just thinking about my next car already thats all. I just want some suggestions from you fellas. I'm 17 so my second car isn't going to be some big v8 monster.

so question is a decent reliable, looking to spend ~~$8k, and something a bit quick like the gp. no i'm not saying i have a racecar, nor do i want one at the moment, i'm just not asking for you to reccomend me something like a corolla lmao

Uhh... 2 door, 4 door, awd, fwd, rwd, small, medium, large, seating, car, truck, van, wagon, SUV, storage?

So far, we know it needs to be reliable and quick like the GP without a V8. Which means you want another 3800 wbody. Give us more preferences and we can help you more.

go to ebay, search all cars, 2 or 4 door, v6(assumption). You can also search by lots of other features :)

Edit because wikipedia makes up for poor memory. Honda Accords are in the ballpark of a wbody.

In 2006, it was significantly updated. The 4-cylinder version came with 161 horsepower (166 horsepower for 2005-2007 models) K24A1 2397 cc 4 cyl engine mated to a 5-speed automatic or 5-speed manual. In 2003, Honda began to offer a more aggressive Accord Coupe, equipped with the 240 horsepower (244 horsepower for 2005-2007 models) J30A4 2997cc V6 mated to a 6-speed manual transmission borrowed from the Acura CL Type S (without a limited slip differential). Because of the ability to maintain activation of the VTEC system all the way through hard acceleration, the Accord EX V6 6-speed ran from 0-60 MPH in just 5.9 seconds according to Car and Driver, more than a second faster than the automatic version. In 2006, Honda offered this engine and transmission combination in the sedan, which only lasted through 2007.

I know I'll probably get crap for it, but how about a Crown Vic? They are reliable, parts are cheap since they made a bajillion of them, can be had for UNDER 8K, will easily go for more than 200K w/o huge maint. issues, body on frame, huge trunk, 4 doors, acceptable V8 (2V PI 4.6L), RWD. You could probably find a Sport model for around 8K that gets you leather buckets, console shifter, better rearend ratio, rear air suspension, 17" wheels, dual exhaust, etc. I haven't had many issues with my 03. For the most part it's been solid and has never left me stranded. The only maint. issues I have had to deal with since I bought it in 08 is replace the power steering pump and the pass. rear axle, which was resolved in the later Vics (04+). The 03's and up have rack and pinion which helps to turn this boat and it gets decent mileage. I get a bit over 400 miles to a tank w/ the 3.27 gears. Bought it w/ 54K on it and now has 143K. Mine is stock not including the J-mod to the trans. and it gets through the winter just fine for the people that say they can't drive a RWD V8 in the snow, seeing as how you're in NJ.

they can be had for way under $5k if you find an old 9C1.

True. Never thought about the Impala's/Caprice. Question is do you go for the older Caprice w/ the LT1, or the newer Impala w/ the 3800? And yea, you could pick up a used CV P71 for way under the 8K limit.

I'm either getting another GP, or an old Camaro iroc z28 :D

I turn 18 at the end of this month.

If you don't want something burly and beautiful on the road... yeah get an accord lol

Otherwise I'd say like a 99 +Celica

That's actually pretty clean looking. Looks like an 89. 350 TBI I take it.

Yep. 89 T Tops 5.7L. Also... 87k original miles... so basically... The whole shebang

Edit: SORRY FOR THREAD JACKING lol

Like i said. Accords are reliable for sure. :)
