Ok I'm going to change the fluid tomorrow night. What do I need? I was planning on using a quart of the Lucas trans fixer, 7 quarts of what fluid? Is there an internal filter that needs replaced? Should completely drop the pan?
 
Completely drop the pan. The gasket can be reused. Get dex6 or the Walmart equivilancy there is an internal filter and it takes 8 quarts. Put your stop slip in then fill with fluid go through all the gears after finishing up while not moving the car. And be careful not to bend the pan.
