• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

open cone?

alright so i guess its settled then, it wont effect the tune on a 3.5 setup if it WAS originally tuned with a CAI, but now i just do open cone... correct?

Correct...like I've said...intake placement on these cars doesn't really matter.

All you people who think its gonna help...air is gonna get stupid hot regardless with that Heaton...so go ahead and try to make it cold. Matter of fact...stick an ice box in there.

so i tried it out, and it seemed to be hanging really low, it wouldnt fit right up to the throttle body, and then i had no where to put the IAT sensor so i thought it was going to throw a code...

Mine is just sitting on the outside of the cone, but still close to it. If you get a small spectre filter it should just barely fit. If not, get a 4" 45* elbow and some PCV and drill a hole for the IAT.

i used pvc and drilled a hole and used a rubber piece to fill it..

nope.. not at all.... i have the pcv pushed in the rubber a good bit.. i lifted my pcm up against my overflow... the filter right in the air hole..

right now i have (instead of PVC) 4 inch aluminum exhaust that connects to my intake, for some reason no hardware store around me sells 4 inch PVC....

Here's mine I made for dirt cheap... took the K&N off and went AEM Dryflow like 95% of the people on here have.... AEM Dryflows $20 shipped all day long....

The intake tubing gets warm but it never gets hot like burn you hot...
