Only one wheel rubbing with 20s 245/35/20 tires lowered on ssc?

He said it rolls fine! It can't be his alignment!

Yes it tracks perfect. Trust me, drove 8 months on it so far, just had new wheels put on the old tires were fine no un even tread wear. I tried calling around to see if i could just get the alignment checked and most shops kept asking why I would want to get it done and said it was only necessary if the car was pulling one way or another.

it not pulling means nothing. the toe could still be way off (which changes when you lower/raise a car) and so could the camber (which also changes when you raise/lower the car).

i've had 4 alignments on my car and i've only owned it for 5 years because whenever i swap out the struts/springs i go get another alignment because it's ALWAYS off after you do that. hell, you're supposed to get an alignment after you do wheel bearings...

bio's right x1gazillion what he said, either that or your car was in an accident involving that area

Your suspension is off anyte you change anything on it. When I first dropped my car on my Eibachs it still drove straight but the toe was all over the place. Its out.

You can't adjust the camber without some work. They camber should be more or less even.

The thing causing rubbing is the combo of the wheels and the springs. When you lower it the camber goes negative, helping with lower offset wheels fit better.

I would say dont just call a shop, take it to them. That way they actually have a chance at seeing what you are talking about. Its a lot harder for them to try to diagnose something on the phone. Everytime I used to call my mechanic he would say just bring it over so I can take a look. Otherwise if you forget to say something rather important there will be confusion.

Glad it sounds like its good to go but if you change anything related to the steering/ suspension it is ALWAYS a good idea to get alignment checked as everyone previously stated. What is a 4 wheel alignment these days anyway? $70 or so? To me paying $70 to check is greater than $600+ for new tires (depending on what you get) probably more for 20s.

i had the same problem, are your strut towers ok? if you have the infamous rotting of a tower only the tire with the bad tower will rub. other thamn that get an alignment and roll the fenders and go from there.
