• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

only 80-89% at WOT

hey, just wondering if anyone on here has had this problem before? I just installed a JET performance V Force Plus module and the TPS is reading between 80-89% at WOT... the butterfly is opening all the way and im pretty sure the cable doesn't need adjusting. do I need a new TPS?

another issue im seeing now is that under WOT the e-brake light comes on and stays on until I let off the gas, just low on brake fluid or is this something else?

Check the fluid level like I said in your other thread. Also that module that isn't one of those chips you plug into the OBD port is it that supposedly make the car faster because iv never heard of them What are you using to get the TPS reading.

ok yes I need to top up the brake fluid. that solves that issue.

im going to post a pic of the JET Performance V-Force Plus that I am using. its basically a computer upgrade I believe.

I had to hard wire it to 12V constant fuse, ground, TPS, MAF, MAP and still have to hook up to a O2 sensor before the CAT.

I hate to break it to you, but that "chip" you bought is a gimmick and does nothing on these cars.

Also no pic

No, if it's what he says it is, it does things...they just don't show on their site where that particular product works on a 2002 GTP like his profile lists.

its not a chip, its a programmer and its re maps fuel and does a few other things... I did my research on it and I work at a speed shop that sells them... they do very little but its what I wanted.

I just looked it up, it looks like one one of those handheld tuner things. Website says its not compatible with his GP which I would assume would be because of how our cars work computer wise because it says it worked on a 95 civic as a random car I punched into there compatibility thingy because it was older so I assmued it was different in that aspect to a GP but I have no idea how that stuff works lol.

I have the instructions on hand if you would like me to prove that it is compatible with my car... heres the part number do a little more research for yourself.

JET 68023 JET V-FORCE PLUS PERFORMANCE MODULE

yea I read this long before I made my purchase... like I said, I know it doesn't do much but its what I wanted KNOWING what I was paying for

Well, I'm not sure if this was intended to sound rude, but it kinda does. I looked on Jet's website as well and it does NOT list this as compatible. Regardless, since it requires splicing into various wiring, my guess is you could have a poor connection resulting in slightly lower readings. Now, I'm not going to take a ton of time reading installation protocol from Jet, but I would assume it is also connected to the DLC and is giving you actual PCM information and not just using those splices you create. If this is in fact actual PCM data, then, yes, I would guess you may have a poor ground connection for the TPS or even a faulty TPS. If it is reading based only on the splices you have created, I would double check that splice.

honestly it feels pretty much the same except it did re map my fuel and possibly timing as it does have a little more power. its not running poorly at all. just curious as to y the TPS is reading so low? its making me think my car is lacking that 20 - 11 points of extra throttle position...

It very well could be. Does this gizmo plug into the DLC or is it a stand alone piece of equipment? I would have someone check the data to see what the PCM sees for throttle position.
