one headlight not working

I have friend with a later model (2007) Pontiac Grand Prix. Got a passenger side headlight out and he replaced the bulb to no avail...it was back together before I got to look at it so I didn't check voltage at the plug but he tried several bulbs and none worked so it's fairly safe to assume voltage is not present at the connector, but I'll check anyway.

I did check the fuse, and it was not blown. Didn't have my meter or test light so I couldn't really diagnose anything.

A few months ago I replaced the HDM relay when both low beams were out.

I just want to know if this is a common problem with Grand Prix of that era? I know it was always a problem with Cavaliers, Sunfires etc where wires would chafe behind the washer tank. Just curious if this happens often.

Thanks, just good to know it's not a pattern failure.

Other lights in the housing share the same ground, and they work, so the ground is present. All the same, I checked it and it's a good ground.

No power to plug for the bulb, no power to that wire for the headlight housing (harness runs to the headlight housing where power is split to all of the bulbs), followed it back to the fuse box and found no power coming from there. Fuse is good and hot on both sides.

I'm suspecting the connection is bad inside the fuse box.
