I've had five 3800 powered cars this year. Of the two I kept for any amount of time worth mentioning I had belt slip up the ass in both cars at some point requiring a new supercharger belt tensioner. They just didn't provide tension anymore. The pulleys themselves were fine.
The silver car needed one at 215k and the black one had it replaced just last week. Both had originals on them.
They suck, because they're not exactly cheap.

Fail rate could be 5 miles on ANY of those pulleys.
It happens all the time, but it's impossible to put an actual number on any of these because pulleys are like wheel bearings, they could last 40k miles or even 120k+ miles. Same with idler and tensioner pulleys, they can last gajillion miles or 20k miles before they let go.
It's a wearable part in my eyes, not much else you can say about that.
