• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

hey hey, I just found my way over here after a long time away. I've been busy as balls with school and work and all the other stuff going on and just fell away.

So, the update on it all...
The GTP **** the bed again, just before spring break. It spun another rod bearing (same thing that happened before the first motor swap). It's currently parked in MWC at my mom's house. I now drive a Galaxy Grey 2004 RX-8. I plan to rebuild the GP and keep it as a "beater" since it's paid off. I put beater in quotes since it's a nice ass beater :) I'll be pulling most of the go fast parts off, assuming they're in good shape still. I'll keep the ported blower, LIM, and TB, but will sell the cam and maybe some of the other stuff in there. I'm very passively looking for a new motor (or at least bottom end) and will likely pay someone to do the swap sometime down the road. Until then, it's parked where it sits. I love the 8 and have a hell of a time driving it, but do miss the straight line power the GTP had.

Anyway, I'm living up in Edmond and will finish up my last year of school next year, so I'll be around to lend a hand if I can work it into my schedule.

The new site looks good...I'll look around for a while now :)

Welcome to the community. Sorry to hear about the GP but am looking forward to its rebirth. Im sorta in the same boat in that I have mine tore down to rebuild the tranny and do some engine work.
