Hey guys,
I just bought a 2007 grand prix base model, 12k miles and I was wondering what kind of oil you guys recommend? i.e. conventional, blend or synthetic..any other tips you guys also want to give me would be much appreciated...thanks in advance
 


I'm just making sure that using synthetic or blend doesn't burn, I used to have an LS1 that did not like blend or synthetic.
 
i use mobil 1 fully synthetic and a wix filter, and i change it at 7500-8000 miles

my l36 was using about a quart of oil every 2-3000 miles (which i read was "normal") but that stopped after switching to synthetic
 
Well from what ppl post here our motors aren’t fussy on what oil is used. I personally use Castrol Syntec, all the Castrol oils have served me well on both my GPs.:th_thumbsup-wink:
A lot of ppl use M1 and Amsoil without any issues. I have heard many a bad story on Royal Purple, I would stay away from it.
