Oil Pump



the oil pump drive spline on the front of the crank gear doesnt need to be timed to the cover/pump's inner scroll

the dot near the teeth is for timing it with the cam gear.

unless your refering to an aftermarket timing set but you sure didnt give much for specifics or pics of the issue...
