I noticed today my spark plug boot protectors are damp with oil. Only the boots coming off cylinder 1 and 3, with 1 being more damp than 3.

Are there any other causes for this beside the valve cover gasket?

I have a replacement VC gasket I'll be doing soon, but I want to prepare myself in advance if it could be something else. It's got 80000 miles on it. 03 park ave ultra
 


Front was done when I did my LIM. I was more of a noob back last October, I was nervous about getting to it then. I'll knock it out when i do my next oil change after my little road trip.

piece of cake, i did my rear VC gasket in 30 mins, i have small arms, i can change my spark plugs without tilting engine too..
 


You'll have to forgive him...he's a W body guy. Probably only hear me talk about the Bonne and H bodies.
