Oil leak L67

I just bad a low milage L67 dropped in my car. About 46k on it. Everything was fine, until I noticed a small oil leak. I watched it for a while, and now it is a big oil leak. I used a quarter of a quart of oil in just 300 miles. I some oil on my oil pan, and a lot of oil near the engine mount and cradle. The oil actually runs down the cradle back to the bushing and drips there.

I'm thinking the pan gasket might be going, but the crank seal as well could be leaking. I know these engine leak from the pan gasket a lot. I haven't heard too much from the front crank seal.

I took the wheel off and put my hand behind the harmonic balancer and there was oil there, but that could be from the pan. Would a bad oil pan gasket leak out a quarter quart in 300 miles? I'm not getting any oil flinging up from the belts.

sounds like a crank seal. clean it up and let it warm up on a jack with the wheel off. lay some clean rags down and wait for oil to leak.

you need to take the splash shield off, but its just a couple clips.

I cleaned it up, and I'm going to let it sit all night and see if it drips on some cardboard I put down. I have a feeling it only leaks out when it is running.

crank seal leaks only when its running and after its warmed up. leaks right on the mounts and in the frame and then like you saw out the holes in the frame near the frame bolts.

i made a drip channel for mine, it took 15 minutes of idle time to leak.

not to bad if you got air tools tho. i had mine off and on like 4 times easy trying to fix that damn leak. ended up with a repair sleeve and a 2 nd seal.

same, had my fixed, and then blew it out with a blocked pcv system, 3rd time's a charm.

Took it in to the shop today. Put it up on the lift, the guys think it has a bad oil pan gasket. Since the belts didn't have any oil on it. I told the guys just replace it, and if it still leaks it might be the crank seal. I checked the oil I was a half quart low on 450 miles. That is too much oil to be dripping on my new garage floor.
