Oil filter info

best way i could describe it....need to know the specs on the oil filter thread....what size and thread pitch...and what diameter the o ring is....scotty maybe you can help me on the o ring diameter part since you just recently aquired some new tools...And if anyone is wondering why i need this...dont ask...lets just say im working on something....:th_thumbsup-wink:
 


I'll add to this as I have information, I used to have it all in one place but I can seem to find it at the moment. But the thread pitch info I got straight from Amsoil for their filter for our cars. I'll probably have to measure out the rest.

Thread and Thread Pitch: 18mm x 1.5mm

Here is some more info that I measured using a EaO29 filter which is the filter from Amsoil for our cars


O Ring Dimensions:

Oring ID: 2.400 in
Oring Thicknes: 0.185 in
Oring O.D.: 2.750

I know the oring dimensions dont work out with the thickness measurement, but with the flexibility of the rubber it was hard to get a good reading. Im pretty confident in the outer and inner dimensions.

Oil Filter Physical Dimensions:

Length: 3.220 in
Diameter: 3.035 in

If I can find the actual dimensions from Amsoil I'll post that up, but I have been unable to find it other than the thread pitch.
