Oil caps are different

I noticed that on all the 97-03 GP's i've seen the oil cap says 10w-30 and on an 05 GP it says 5w-30. Just found that intersting. I go off what the temp is going to be for the next 3 months and what the owners manual says for that temp but i still found it to be intersting none the less. Is this what other members with 04+ caps have? Curiosity lol:th_laugh-lol3:

If you look in the owners manual it will tell you what to run based on the average temp when you will have the oil in the car. 10w30 for when its warm out 5w30 for when its colder. I beleive the cold/warm change is around 35 degrees

I don't see the point in 10W-30 being used ever.

Its a very similar viscosity when hot and thicker when cold which causes more wear in comparison to 5W-30.
