• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

oh no! gray smoke... rough idle :(

holy ripoff batman. $400 bucks to splice a fuel line ? you coulda bought the whole line from the engine back for about 160...i know because i did ...or you coulda bought the dorman repair kit and ran nylon lines.

it was replaced with a steel fuel line but that's what i get for not being able to do the work myself... and you think that's bad? i paid $7k for an 02 gp... last yr... $7k for a 97-03 wbody in 2014, i made some stupid choices but whatever, over the last year I've been debating on what to do whether to try to sell this car or start modding it but i guess it's time to pull the trigger on starting work on the car and buying a beater for the summer, i don't know anyone that'll pay me even $5k for this car sooo here we go

i would at least suggest finding a more honest mechanic. the fuel lines are dealership only items. i replaced all 3 of mine in december. the feed line i paid $165 shipped and found the return and evap line at a local dealership , both for $259. if the mechanic took his good ole sweet time he had an hour , maybe 1.5 hours if he had to change the quick connect , invested in it.
so with that said you were paying about $200 an hour labor .

and 7 G's for an 02 is just insane. it would be a good idea for you to start doing a little research before you open your wallet and hand out money. get estimates and shop around before buying.

as for your transmission , keep in mind it already has 13 years of wear on it.

well when i bought it i bought a lemon of a bonnie, and it was the summer before senior year of high school and i actually needed a car to get to and from school, it was pretty difficult junior year with an unreliable van and later the bonneville, so i was a little bit desperate, the car was a 1 owner car, very little rust (most likely stored for winter), the thing was in ideal shape at a solid 77 or 75k miles.... tried to negotiate with the guy (i even brought a negotiator) but he wouldn't go down, i said alright whatever and bought it... now about a year and a half (and 1 minor accident... buy snow tires) later this is the first true mechanical problem with the car :(

A turbo will make more than 260 whp, unless you are only running like 5 pounds of boost. The turbo is better at making the power compared to a M90 blower. Most kits will run atleast 10-15 lbs and make 350-400+ whp without even batting an eye.

the stock precision 6262 that zzp uses in the z3 and z7 kit comes at 6.5 pounds, on an l67 it'll probably make right around 260-280ish with as conservative tune as possible, id never cross the 300 mark on stock tranny because i know 1 hard launch and that's a wrap for the tranny, 280 would be pushing it probably at 250 or 260 i can squeeze out enough time for me to no longer daily the car, buy a beater and start saving up for the trans

Stock tranny would probably be a stock z3 kit. Should hold up all right if not abused.
yup at 6.5 pounds it should hold up for a little while as long as i dont beat up on it, i try not to beat up on the trans even with stock 200 whp, no burnouts i do my best not to even squeal the tires (which it shouldn't with 200 whp but i got **** tires)
