Oh boy a broken flex plate. Need reccomendations

Frosty

I Write E85 Stickies
Snapped my flex plate and I dont have time to replace it myself so I have a trusted shop doing it. They are also a nappa store so they were going to use the nappa flex plate (belkamp BK 6005160 http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx/Flex-Plate/_/R-BK_6005160_0387331961)

Normally I could care less as long as it works but chances are I broke the flex plate with the 2.55" pulley setup that I have at the moment. No a 400$$$ billet flex plate isnt an option at the moment.

Will the belkamp flex plate be fine or would I be better off with a wbodystore drilled stock flex plate?

The shop isnt going to warranty it the second they see that my car isn't the same N/A 3800 that came in the last time they saw it so I wanna be somewhat sure that the belkamp isnt going to snap in half immediately.

Without going up to a purpose build flexplate, a stocker or stock replacement will be your best bet. It'll eventually break again though. Just depends on how hard you are on it.

Just noticed that litterally the only site that lists that flywheel for a 3.8 is nappas website.... every site lists it for 3.1s and other variants.... it even says its not counterbalanced.... I think that's a big nono considering the stocker has a balance weight welded on. I think ima go with the oreillies dual drilled flex plate instead

Well iv been running a stock non HD 4t65e with my supercharged top swap for over a year now with many races and countless drag strip runs. I dont even have an HD upgrade. So whatever im doing must be considered "Not very hard" driving
