Looking for all the parts and info I need for the brake 06 impala upgrade. How to and part numbers . I already know caliper, bracket pads and rotor but what about brake lines and bonjo bolts. Also if I go the f body brake route what banjo bolt and lines would I need for that. Lastly I've heard its ok and not ok to use the bushing<sleeves> for the f body and to have them drilled and tapped. Confused.
 


If you dont go f-body you can use ur stock pads calipers and brake lines. Just need rotors and caliper brackets
 
can any one tell me what banjo bolt and brake lines to use with the 06 impala brake upgrade, got the rotors and pads and caliper and bracket off a 2009. they have the hoses on them but not sure if I should swap it for the gp lines as well as the gp banjo bolt or just use the 09 impala lines and banjo. Also if I use ss line do I use ss lines for a gp or impala . my gp is a 99
 
I used the banjo bolts from the imp brakes on mine. Not sure on the hoses as I always install new ones when changing calipers. I went w/ the GP lines IIRC. Make sure you install new copper crush washers on the caliper side.

I assume you got all the bolts that mounted the brakes to the Imp? They are a direct fit for the GP knuckle. Make sure you torque the caliper bracket bolts down correctly so they don't back out.

Not sure what a iirc means. and no they didn't come with the bolts that connect the bracket to the knukle. Are they the same as the gp bolts.

Not sure on the difference between the GP and the Imp bolts. All I know is that the Imp bracket bolts threaded into the GP knuckle w/o any issues.
 
Thanks for the info I guess ill go to a dealer to get the bolts .Unless some one has the dimensions.Been looking on the net but don't seem to be finding a part number for them or dimensions.Aaround where I live the jy through them away you have to get them before the take them off the car If there the same bolt that would be cool. If you get a chance post a pic of where you bent out the bracket for the brake hose .
 


yup I am looking at them too. The bolts for the caliper bracket to the knuckle are the same for the gp 98-2002 and 06-2012 impala. Checked with the dealer.
defiantly want to find a brake hose I can use that's a little longer about 2,3 inches then the stock. On the zz site they say the longer 20 inch ones are only for f body up grade.
 
Read further on that page: "These brake lines will only work on W-body vehicles."

Last I checked the Impala and GP are both W-body. Only difference between the F-body caliper and Imp is that the Imp is steel, where the F-Body is aluminum.
