Official SpyderAuto Projector Headlights Info

The phone and AIM way was just to pre-order these. He posted the actual group buy on C***GP yesterday, but it's disappeared today. I asked him to post it here and on GPONA when he gets a chance, but I wasn't going to just copy the post in case there was a reason he didn't post it here. Now I almost wish I had before it disappeared from C***GP.
 


I'm sure you can still get in on the group buy. The above info would still apply basically. The phone number is for SpyderAuto so you would have to wait til Monday for them to open. Your best bet would be to email him at [email protected] with the requested info. That is also the paypal address. Cash must me done in person if local to Spyder. Credit Card by phone. $350 shipped in US, $450 with 8000k HIDs. Outside US contact him. 100 black/100 chrome in stock.

So yeah email him and see if you can still pay this weekend and you could get in the shipment going out Monday morning. The paid list on CGP does not differentiate what forum each person is from. That is a list of all people in group buy so far (when updated) as he doesn't know us personally to differentiate. Good luck.

Save about $100 or more through group buy. As I said before I've seen these listed for anywhere from $442-$500+. John only has exclusivity for a limited time before they start going to the vendors orders.

Ok, i just ordered a set. Now i didn't see this posted anywhere. Does it come with bulbs? Do the other factoy bulbs carry over from the stockers?
 
The projectors are plug and play other than two wires, +/-, for the halos (depends what you want them to come on with). They come with 9005(high beam) and H1(low beam) halogen bulbs included. They use your stock corner bulbs, etc.

Obviously a million variations to this depending on what your planned setup will be.

I know I've seen the pictures of the beam, but no one has said verbally if the projectors are actually better at night than stock. It's hard to say from those pictures if it is actually better..There has only been speculation that the HID kit scatters the light.....

So what's the actual opinion, or is there not enough of a difference to tell?

I do a lot of night driving, so this is pretty important to me.

The only GP owner to actually have these installed to this point has called the output even with the halogen bulbs installed, "Simply amazing" compared to the stock lights.

It's not speculation. The HID kits don't scatter the light. It is the stock headlight capsule that scatters the light. Or any open capsule for that matter. You can compare the low beam projector to the high beam pics below even though the pics are just with halogens (no HIDs installed).

A MagLite out the window beats stock headlights.

These are quick pics chrOmius snapped in his garage after work. Not totally aligned, but you get the idea. THESE PICS ARE WITH THE SUPPLIED HALOGEN BULBS THAT COME WITH THE PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS.

As stated before, many are gonna hook these up completely different ways depending on how they want the halos to work, their high/low setup, HIDs or not or dual, etc.

I was hoping to get a set, but other things have taken precedence, any chance of a future group buy (like around July when we get or tax rebates?)
 


I believe the lights are shipping FedEx (Ground, maybe 3-5 business days and tracking numbers can be had usually the next day after payment/shipping IIRC.

As far as group buy, just use the same info already supplied. Group Buy pricing is good until the end of the month. Paypal, phone, fax. Don't wanna pay retail of $100+ more later or through the vendors.

Ok I am sorry for the dumb question. I read though the whole thread but before I order I want to make sure I got this right. The chrome capsules come with Halogen HI beam and H1 8000K low beams, and the black capsules come with halogen HI and LOW? Do the HIDs in the chrome ones us ballasts?
 
No, both chrome and black come with H1 halogen low beams and 9005 halogen high beams included for $350 shipped in the US. $450 shipped black or chrome for 8000k H1 HIDs (complete HID kit) low beams and 9005 halogen high beams.
