I deal with suppliers for parts to. Nothing can be done but wait, and listen to the people complain about having to wait.

heh ya.. it gets bad sometimes.. we have a retail dept as well and whenever we get backordered it's pretty obvious wat needs to be done(refund) since we also are also the main supplier.. the wait sometimes for backordered items is ridiculous.. maybe we should start buying back from shops we wholesale to.. :th_scratchhead:
 


Whats up everyone, this is my first post, fyi. But the whole reason i registered is because I ordered the black Projector headlights last week :cool::D and they'll be here next week sometime. I cant wait, ive been dying for better lights. Like someone else said, it seems like i dont have headlights at all at night, even compared to my buddies 05 malibu maxx.

Does anyone know if we use the stock bulbs or if they come with different ones, and if they do what size are they and can they be easily replaced?
 
Welcome, sorry to hear that. Hope you didn't order through AAS. John, the rep from SpyderAuto (manufacturer/distributor of these) already confirmed these are not available for sale yet and that Andy's jumped the gun and posted their own random pricing. Already had a few members get refunds on these. John also stated the GP forums will get first chance and best pricing with these.

The lights will be plug and play other than the halos. We still don't have final units displayed for appearance, output, etc. Good luck.

heh, wow.. glad to see you guys know wats going on enough to not start a panic-epidemic about someone else thinking they ordered them..

but ya.. curious as to where you ordered em bro.. and they gave u an arrival date of next week huh.. interesting..
 


John YOU DA MAN! I can't wait to take a set of the black ones off of your hands once they come in, but I do wanna see pics of them first lol.
 
See i thought they were bogus headlights so i called the Spyder manufacturer and talked to them and I also talked to a couple different people at andys autosports and they said they'd be shipped today and ill get em next week, so Ill have to call them tomorrow to see if they have a tracking number for me.

I also told them about the fact that the major company denied even making them and AAS said that they arent suppose to be out until first week of march. AAS also told me that they would refund my money and accept any returns in case im not happy. So I guess Ill just have to wait and see next week how things pan out. so i guess ill just have to talk plenty of pictures when i get them and show you guys to see if they are real or not

That's funny. I just received news they'll be in next week, however I also was just confirmed I'd receive over 1 month exclusivity from my boss.. ALSO, considering the rep that handles AAS' account told me that AAS has been informed.. Guess something aint gettin' through to AAS.. However, this does not mean that you should be telling AAS' off about our business on the forum.
 


Hey when we get the 97-03's wrapped up, can we get some cool projectors for the 04+ crowd? I will even offer my 04 for fitment and whatnot.
 
FYI for all, AAS are a bunch of retards. So I ordered the spyder headlights on Feb 27, from AAS, they told me they would be in the first week of march, and that my headlights would be shipped on the the 5th. So i call on the 6th to get a tracking number, and they tell me they havent gone out yet and wont til the end of the week. ok.

Well today i called again to find out just when at the end of this week they're being shipped out and come to find out, my lights wont be shipped til next week wensday(march 12). :th_scratchhead:The reason for that is because they are on backorder. And to add to all this frustration, I was hung up on 4 times, and then after getting through i was put back on hold for another 10 minutes. :th_angry2::th_angry-censored:

Soo, needless to say whether i get my lights or not this is the last time i deal with them.

FYI i never said anything about you guys getting them or anything like the such.
 
March 7, 2008 Special "FRIDEE" Update

It's been confirmed. Projectors are on the way..

They are scheduled to arrive on March 19th, 2008.

As for my final sample set.. *sigh, they're day to day.. so as soon as those arrive, i'll hit up my boy chr0mius from clubgp and get some sexy night shots of the light output, and possibly try some HID outputting perhaps? <- not 100% sure yet.. we'll see.. but that's all.. I thought since it was fridee, I'd drop by and drop some info.. Enjoy the weekend boys..
