• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Official "joining you" post

It went pretty well and I'm happy with the results. All parts I thoroughly cleaned before going on so it's like having a new top end to the engine, and it runs like brand new. I wish I could see those pretty heads better with everything on there... :)

The only thing I'm not happy with is how the soldered connections for the injector connectors look. Might have to loom them.

Congrats man. Tear down looked like it went really well and the install looks REALLY clean. I bet you're gonna love it 20 times more once it is tuned so you can roll into boost!! Then you'll wonder why there is a baby whining from under your hood LOL!!

Lol.

Earlier I pushed it harder than I have. The Aeroforce wasn't on TP%, but I'd guess about 50%. I rolled into it after I made a turn from a light. In second gear, saw about 8PSI, and I was at 60MPH shockingly fast.

I think I'm going to like this.

Lol, Imps have four different gear ratios.

2.86 in the base model 3.4L
2.93 in the L67 SS cars
3.05 in the civilian L36 models
3.29 in the police models

I'm not even sure what the current body style has except the LS4 SS have 2.93s.

And just when I thought 3.05's were the only gear setup I had to worry about LOL

That supercharger idler pulley bracket is by far the sexiest part! :th_nanana:

So far so good. It drives almost like normal during regular driving. Except it's a bit more responsive with the rockers and larger ported TB. Then as the boost kicks in the engine's evil twin shows up and I realize what I've built.

Still no WOT. I'm hoping to be confident enough in the tune to do it in the next few days. I just traded the crappy 91 octane E10 I had been running for my usual 100% gasoline 93. Should help. :th_peaceout:

I was grinning from ear to ear. That ported M90 started yelling and before I could look over all my gauges (didn't even get to the boost gauge to see how much boost) I was at 80. I mean, I was going up hill for crying out loud and it still pulled that hard. It pulled harder in second gear going up hill than it ever did in first gear before the top swap. Amazing.

The engine was warmed up, but I don't think the M90 had gotten hot yet so I did the whole run with no knock. I was in shock as I put the brakes on going over the bridge so the cops won't get me. :p
