OEM heated seats in 2007 base model GP

Today I went to the junk yard to grab a washer fluid pump for my 2007 GP base model and came across a GP with leather heated seats. I decided to grab the seats hoping to get them working in my car.

The donor car was the same model year (2007) and the connectors appear to be the same as they are in my car. I grabbed the two leather seats, the climate control module with the heated seat buttons and the donor BCM in case I need it.

Is there any way to to get these working as intended without having to deal with the dealer to get the BCM replaced? From what I've read they are not just plug and play.

I tested the motors by injecting 12VDC into the connector and everything seems to be working. I also checked the resistance of the elements at the relay connector which were about 2ohms on both seats. Is that normal? thats only about 100W at 14VDC.

I searched around the forum for answers but couldn't find what i was looking for, the following was as close as i got but wstefan20 never went into detail and I didn't want to hijack that thread. Any help or advise would be appreciated.

That connector on the passenger seat is for the heated seats if I'm not mistaken. Does your current car have heated seats? There's a way to adapt them on both passenger and driver if you get the hvac control with the buttons for seat heaters, or a cheaper way is to use 97-03 gp switches, but you need the guts and thermistors from two 97-03 heated driver's seats.

I have done the leather swap on my 2007 also. And sorry but yeah to get the heated seats to work you have to get dealer to do the bcm.
