Oh for f*ck's sake. That is so beyond ridiculous. The national debt began with Bush 8 years ago because he was a reckless spender. I remember hearing that line in Bush's 2nd year in office..."Each time a child is born, they already have a nationally collected debt of over $160,000". Don't you dare point the finger at Obama saying it is his problem. Your a soldier. Figure it out and open your god damned eyes. Problem with Republicans is that they are blinded by the almighty dollar and never see past it. Another issue is now we have to spend money to get out of the sh*tter. That is what Obama is trying to accomplish. Not saying I agree with everything he has done 120% but I'd rather have Obama for 16 years than Bush for 1 month. He'd rack up enough debt in 31 days then Obama would in 3.1 years.

actually thats not intirely true, its actually the other way around, obama has trippled the nations debt and he's been in office for 6 months now??? and you guys think giving GM's CEO 20 million was a good way to spend money to get the nation out of debt? i'm highly sure the CEO was already very wealthy.

Ok...$20 million is a fart compared the the debt now. But, how much did Bush rack up then? Since we were in a surplus in December of 1999...how much were we in debt by December of 2007? Granted the US was in debt nearly $4 trillion when Clinton left...but when Bush left...haha...$8,701,027,457,964.54. Can you even comprehend how much money that is? No...you never will be able to, neither will I. If you look back at WWII times or in the early 1950's, look at how much our debt was...but once the economy boomed...it dropped like flies. I will be willing to bet that is what is going to happen again. History repeats itself. Give it time and it will happen. More than McCain and Palin could have done. Especially with knocked up underage girls in the whitehouse.

Plus, it's sheer novice idiocy that he stated WHEN most of them will be out of there. Might was well roll on our backs and show our vitals, it's the same thing. Some of you have already said it, things can't be fixed overnight. What makes you think that Bush is all to blame? He just happened to contribute to the inevitable relapse that US is known for. This isn't the first "depression" we've been in and it won't be the last, US as a whole has a very short memory. Which is why we repeat our mistakes.

To blame Bush for ALL the bull going on is just immaturity and wanting to point a finger at someone, it started well before his term and perhaps the right measures weren't taken to correct it. But I highly doubt Obama is going to do any better. If you haven't noticed, he sent more troops in versus pulling troops out, flip ... flop.

I'm an Army Brat, so by all means I support our troops. And would love to slap/spit/hit anyone who bashes our troops, I got in a heated argument with a redneck hick at my school for such a thing. Heck, my brother was over there for 15 months, my dad is Retired Army of 26 years at a COL rank. I've adopted four soldiers that I send letters and care-packages to. I applaud our troops that actually hold a stiff upper lip and appreciate the support given.

I even contemplated the military myself, I'd go Air Force. Not because they "don't go to war." It's because when I finally have a family, I know they'll be taken care of. USAF is the best branch for taking care of your family.

I still think Ron Paul would've been better than McCain or Obama, but it was clear who the two would be running in the end. Being President isn't a learn on the job experience and that's all Obama is doing right now. He wasn't anymore qualified than Palin (who I supported).

But, eh. Politics are just an excuse to rip eachothers throats out :th_biggrin2:

Opinion. Not a fact. You have no idea what well Obama is going to do. Come back in 3 years and 6 months when his term is up. You can't change anything anyway. Palin...well...I can't even go there without laughing, as she is the biggest joke this government has ever seen. Hell, I'd rather see Monica Lewinsky's ugly mug then Palin...because all she would ever talk about is how Letterman made fun of her daughter. The Hummer consumer vehicle is not the HUMVEE (sp) that the military uses. GM bought the rights to produce a truck and slap the GM/Hummer name on them. Two very different vehicles.

I am going to say now. I am not a fan of Obama, but this is not the place to spill racist or biggoted comments. If this continues in this thread, it will be LOCKED or simply deleted.

For those of you who had the unfortuate opprotunity to read DBoy's comments, I apologize. I hope he will not continue with these kind of comments. Other admins might not be happy about his comments, I know I am not, but I would like to hope he refrains from any further comments like the ones that were deleted.

So I will finish by saying, if this continues, the racist comments of any kind, they will be dealt with more harshly than just a simple deletion of a thread.

i feel that now OBAMA is going to ruin my life and lifes path..... i wanted to go to school and get my degree in automotive "currently half way done" then work for pontiac...... i dont thnk thats gonna work to well/..... but what im saying is if the government gets involved in the auto industry we are all F'ed in the A!
