like i said, you believe what you want. the fact is he has done nothing that he said he was going to do so far. And yes i am an american. The reason why it doesnt feel bad for you to ask me that question is i have LEGAL DOCUMENTATION stating so, unlike obomba. That fake excuse for a birth certificate is a joke at the least, and why would he hire expensive ass lawyers to make sure that no one can get access to the real one? Im no expert but i think its clear to see what he is doing. Anyways, i hate politics b/c everyone has something to say and i go off facts, and everyone else obviously has none to go off of. Like i said to begin with, im just waiting for **** to hit the fan.

I have nothing to support that he is working with terrorists? Really. That is why since he has been in office he has been everywhere but the U.S. where he needs to be. Hmm....? Gee i wonder... what could he be doing bowing to a foreign minister.... Like i said you guys will see in due time. Also, i have NO RESPECT for someone who doesnt believe in the constitution and that claims it is "outdated".... hes an idiot to say the least. As far as the birth certificate... do a search and find out that experts have reviewed the "certificate" and found it to be modified and im sure you wont, b/c you dont care, but if youre going to say the experts are wrong, id be asking yourself how much you know about the matter. I hate politics so im done with this thread.
 
My Mother is Catholic, my Stepmother is Hardcore Gospel Christian, my Father could care less about religion, my Brother is athiest, his wife is Christian, my Sister and her Husband are Muslim, one of my best friends is Hindu, another is Episcopalian, some are Athiest, and I am Athiest..... none of us hate each other...

I just want to know how spending trillions of dollars we don't have is going to fix this mess?!? Not a big fan of Bush, but so far I'm not really impressed by Obama. He can give one mean speech as long as his teleprompter works.
Personally I think we should be doing everything we can to get away from foreign oil...drill here, CNG, wind, solar, nuclear plants, sugar cane biofuel. Hell if Brazil can make enough biofuel from sugarcane to not import oil, why the hell can't we come up with something?

I say you're here illegally. Prove to me your aren't. I think you have a friend at the records office who created a fake birth certificate for you. You can have all the lawyers you have, but I still say it's fake. And since I can scream louder than you, and close my ears and eyes and say, LA LA LA, not listening, it MUST be true.

quicklynx is right...the m-16s and m-4s are the worst weapons ever...they're very accurate and recoil is soft but slightest bit of dirt and they jam, jam, Jam!!!! right now I'm issued a M-4, I cleaned it last nite, today when I woke up and went to chow, dirt all in the star chamber... and alittle info, u can drop a AK-47 in the mud, it will still fire! only differnce between a m-4 and a m-16 is the m-4 has improved sites and notches to add on these high speed surefire lights, lasers, and hand grips...collapsable butt-stock, shorter barrel...very improved on the outsite compared to the m-16 but the Guts of these weapons are the SAME!!!! also for future refrence, they're working on a new improved weapon for us, and sometime in the future they'll do away with these crappy things...:)

as for the obama subject, he sux, I hate him and never voted for him! :th_thumbsup-wink:
 
I pmed Josh and gave him my opinions. I tried to keep it personal so it wouldn't jam up the thread, haha.

Turned into a good convo as we talked about his arsenal and his experience with weaponry and what not.

Basically I have an AR-15 and a Taurus PT-92. Josh has a little bit more than I do and some pretty cool stuff in fact.

I simply stated that the M16/M4 has it's share of problems but aren't as notable in a civilian model because we aren't around high dust, high sand areas and we don't have to clean it every hour, haha. I also explained to him my distaste of the gas tube system they use.

I am quite bitter about the XM8 project being scrapped. I know they have the SCAR but the XM8 had nothing but positive when compared to M16/M4. The XM8 was lighter, could be fired faster, was more accurate, and could take twice the beating the M16/M4 could. My personal favorite upgrade was the short stroke piston system! <~~ No carbon blow back and way less heat compared to the gas tube system which ultimately results in less mechanical wear. M16/M4 replace the barrel at something like 7-8k rounds, IIRC and the XM8 could last to the 20k mark.

The XM8 per gun costs less to manufacture than a M16/M4. Over the course of time it would've proven to be cheaper than the M16/M4.

Josh was basically saying you have to draw the line somewhere. This is not regarding the XM8 at all, but simply what gun you really want when over in Iraq or Afghanistan. An AK-47 you can beat on all day but when it comes to accuracy the M16/M4 is going to win. It may jam but as long as you keep it clean all day long and upkeep the maintenance for worn parts you should have minimal problems.

I will have to side with Josh's statement if I had the choice between an AK-47 and a M16/M4.... I'd probably take the M16/M4 by a pretty good margin. I would probably choose the M16 model over the M4 model. I just think there are much better options out there for the Army and Marines to choose from but they refuse to change because it's an ego issue.

Yes, I do 100% feel the reason they refuse to change to a better gun because the generals for some reason feel embarrassed about changing a weapon. As if it is to be frowned upon to give your men a better chance to survive. Egos kill in this case.

I've met Josh, he's a very smart guy, and has made quite an impression on me over time. If he makes a statement he will back it up with solid hardcore facts, haha, and he did when we spoke. The best part is Josh is more than willing to help me with anything I have questions with, and a few times it's been outside of 3800 discussion.

Really? There's been almost NOTHING the Obama administration has done regarding guns and arms control. I suspect a lot of gun shops are using the excuse that the administration is going to "take their guns" to jack up their own prices.

I'm stuck in an office that watches 24/7 news, and believe me, if there was something that Fox News could put up regarding gun control, they would. I think it some cases, Democratic administrations make more money for gun shops and the like than Republicans. I can still get a gun and the same regulations that were in force on November 4 are STILL in place.

I'm defending Obama. I think he will do a fine job. As for ammunition control we will have to see how that plays out.

I think everyone has to give him a chance, he's a regular "Joe" who knows the walks of the average citizen of this great country. He was not silver spoon fed like many politicians and he understands what it is to make ends meet.
The Auto Industry has been selling out themselve by shipping jobs to overseas and robbing us of the price mark-ups on automobile. Why does a Suburban sells for $40+K when it costs about $15K, i don't get that.
CEO's taking MILLIONS home with bonus, most of us here are Auto Techs and the bosses would give you a week's salary for christmas.Then it goes back to busting your ass to make the money back he just gave you.:-))
Take it easy, Obama needs a chance and i think he's smart to take this country forward and it won't be overnite.
