OBAMA OR McCAIN?????

1) just a personal opnion, Muslims believe in Allah...allah is their "god"...Do you know that our soldiers in Iraq our loosing their lives because al-khaida believes that Allah will somewhat give them the afterlife they dream of... Look at what Muslim believers did alkhaida (WARNING: LOOK AT OWN RISK!)...Anybody believes in such shouldn't be allowed to live...not all muslims believe this but also muslims DONT believe in Jesus...

2) he believes in teaching 5yr olds SEX ED??? YouTube - Barack Obama shocks the world!!

3) a REAL christian KNOWS their believe...barrack is UNSURE Obama's Religion - Real Clear Politics - Mid Term Elections - Elections 2008 - TIME

4) and mccain really aint no better, his views are terrible but atleast he's being straight up, obama can't get everything he says he will for this country.
 


1 - Allah (Muslim), God (Christian), and Yahweh (Jewish) all refer to the same being. Is a belief in Jesus a requirement to be President? Which article of the Constitution was that in. How the heck was Joe Lieberman going to be VP if Al Gore had won in 2000?

2 - My sons are 6 and 8. They are cub scouts. One of the things I have to talk to them about is "bad touching." Not exactly a conversation I enjoyed.

3 - John McCain said he was Episcopal in an interview in 2007. Yet he's a member of a Baptist church and has been for several years. Unsure as well.

4 - Neither one is "straight" up. Ask John McCain when he's going to cut all those oil company tax breaks. Tomato, Tomahto.
 
I'll be damned, the more I think about this the more I think Mccain may have made a good choice. He totally just slapped Obama in the face by picking a younger candidate and somone who isnt "old washington." Shes from Alaska, which eveyrone is curious about and has no problems with. She served in the Alaskan Air National Guard. Has 5 kids with one in the Army and one with down syndrome. Her husband works for BP in the oil fields of Alaska. Shes a lifetime NRA member and also a member of Feminists for Life. Shes appealing to hillarys supporters as shown here: Sarah Palin is McCain's VP selection!! - www.hillaryclintonforum.net

You guys realize how many people just switched from Obama to Mccain?? This VP choice of his can relate to a lot of people. Oh and shes all for Alaskan Oil drilling!
 
She's also under investigation in the state for firing the Public Safety Commissioner. He was her brother-in-law. But that's not coincidence. :th_scratchhead:
 
One thing we all need to keep in mind is that no matter who the president is, their agenda will not succeed unless we elect a congress who supports the same views.

Allot of people are anti Bush, and I for one am not happy with all his decisions, but I also understand that Congress is the one with the purse strings, and they are the ones that have put us in such a deficit.

If you all want to change Washington, get ahold of your representatives and tell them you want truth in voting, and to abolish earmarks. If they are voting on a welfare reform bill, there should not be $50,000 earmarked for a study of reproductive health of the praying mantis. That has nothing to do with welfare, so it should not be on the bill. If you want money for that it should be a separate vote so that we can see what representatives are pissing away our money.

Everyone should do their job as an American, no matter what political party, and do research. Look for the pro's and the con's of each candidate and make an informed decision. To many people will vote the party line and just listen to the bashing about the other side. Do yourself a favor and try to find something you like about "the other candidate".

Last but not least, thank you all for keeping this spirited discussion on topic and about the issues and not stooping so low that we don't respect each other. Keep the information coming about the candidates so we can all make an informed decision.

1) good point Deezul, as you know its not a requirement to be president but like i said its a personal thing...I am babtist and any christianity in MY book is Ok, even maybe alil bit of catholic

04compG Deezul has a good point, but also THIS IS WRONG....BUT...I'm proud to live in a country that will fight to survive, if US is low on a resource and no1 will trade, the US will take what they need! "survival of the fittest" (orginaly from : Herbert Spencer in his Principles of Biology of 1864 ) But well-known from Darwin who used it in his "natural selection"
 
If you want some real facts... check this site... It is independent.... It is unbiased... It is very interesting... It's FACT You can go in and select your candidate and see exactly what they are voting for... It's kind of funny how many things are put out there to vote on and get ignored. A lot of which are very important issues. I think everyone here should spend a few minutes looking up their candidate and the topics that are important to them and see if they are what they think they are...(or what the media portrays them to be)

I would LOVE to give a list of YES/NO questions to the candidates, with only 50 additional characters for comments per question. You see it often enough that when the candidate is asked a question, he/she gives an answer to a completely different question, or just makes a position statement.

What, no slam against the Catholic schools? Those priests there are always abusing kids. So anything Catholic MUST be evil, right?

Have you read the Koran, or do you automatically assume all Muslims are evil? Please, tell Muhammad Ali and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar that they are not good people. Tell Dave Chappelle he is no longer funny. Tell our current Ambassador to the UN, Zalmay Khalilzad, he can't be trusted with US interests. Tell Everlast that his music is just propaganda.

On the other hand, would you say you are a support of the KKK or the Aryan Nation? They are Christian after all, so they must be good.

You are making the association that because Obama went to a Muslim school, he is bad. Next you say not all Muslims are bad. I'm not going to say you are wrong to dislike Obama. But to say that because he went to a Muslim school, even though he is a Christian, is a weak argument. Dislike him for his views, NOT for his religion or religious associations.

I'm not going to dispute all of the evil that has been done in the name or Islam recently. As is often said, more people of died in the name of religion than anything else. Crusades, anyone?
 


I know there is not much when it comes to politics that Deezul_AwT and I agree on, but I have to agree with him here.

Saying Obama is a Muslim because he went to a Muslim school when he was young and could not tell his parents he didn't want to go is like saying that because he went to a Catholic school as well when he was young it makes him a pedophile.

Now I am a Republican, but its a sad day when we have to use childhood experiences to scare people. We should all stick to the facts of the candidates when they were in control of their lives. If they did have some questionable upbringing in their childhood, it will show itself in their life with the company they keep or their actions when they are an adult.

A guy over in Switzerland summed it up real nice.

"I dont know whats wrong with you Americans."

"You have one cadidate that is a lawyer, married to a lawyer>"

"And your other candidate is a war hero thats married to a much younger beer heiress."

well webracin, the guy in swizzy makes some sense...ah maybe i am wrong for questioning his faith but this country has had a Really hard time the past 7yrs...sucks to see that the help we're gonna get either comes from a liar or bush's bastrd son.

no-bodys views are perfect, not even "ours" on who we think would make a better president...ppl is gonna vote determined on what they think best...weither its hating the other canidate for their past or actually putting trust into your canidate...
