Some of the larger companies I work with who have 100 employees or so are diving up the company to have less than needed amount of employees so they don't have to pay health insurance. I don't blame them if they didn't they would have to close up their doors. Their employees agreed instead of losing their jobs they would go without health insurance. Most of these guys are skilled labors who make 15-25 bucks an hour depending on what they do.

I'm not too thrilled about this "obama care" I guess the results in the long run will prove if it works or fails.
 
I wish people word realize no matter the health care plan these major insurance corporations are out to make money they will screw u out of every dime if they could that's Republican or democrat. We as a nation have let corporations fester in all the things wrong with society from privatized prisons to super commercial farming plants that keep us in need of health care everything feeds off a negative in america weather you like it or not.

Literally everything you just mentioned is chalk FULL of government regulations. And THAT is the similarity there. "privatized" while heavily regulated, isn't truly privatized. Insurance companies ARE out to make a profit...otherwise whats the point? But the regulations keep them from competing. Make the insurance companies keep prices high. Why? Because the gov't wants a hand in it. And do you think the gov't would survive a competition in a truly free market?

When companies are free to compete, the consumer decides. Example, All health insurances charge outlandish rates, another pops up (assuming he wasn't annihilated by permit gathering, also made to stifle business and competition) this new one charges much lower rates for the same care. One of two things are going to happen as folks start jumping ship; prices across the board will lower, or care will get better. Maybe even both! But the gov't hates competition. You can tell WalMart you wont give them your business...tell that to the IRS and watch what happens. :)
 
American workers, its what buys dinner, pays for healthcare, and buys cars for the other 50% of American citizens.
