The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
I went to autozone about my check engine light on my 97 grand prix GT they said it was the gas cap so I replaced it but the light is still on any sugustions? :th_scratchhead:
if they said it was a gas cap it was prolly that stupid evap leak code. usually it is a gas cap but it can also be a rotted vacuum line or the canister purge. also do you ever keep the car running while pumping gas? this will kick the code. usually it will go out by itself but just have them clear it.
Not all of the aftermarket caps seal correctly. I had that problem with mine, and it didn't clear with the aftermarket gas cap. After I took it in to a shop to be diagnosed, they replaced the cap with a factory one and it worked fine.
Yes,they can be very touchy...there is a factory spec for a gas cap...some of these crappy Chinese aftermarket parts dont cut it...Ford had so much trouble they went to no cap at all on some stuff...bottom line, spend the extra money, get a GM cap...
