Not sure what car to get next

So I think Ive decided Im not going to be modding my GP anymore, all the parts will eventually be getting sold (not whats on the car) Im just not all that happy with the FWD and Automatic. This is still not a definite but most likely the GP is getting sold. I need to save up more money and when I get close to my price range for the car I want the GP might be going. I love the car and everything Ive done to it but I think its time to move on to a bigger toy. As of right now Im debating on an 05/06 LS2 GTO 6 speed of course or an 03/04 Cobra of course as well a 6 speed. Im leaning more towards the Cobra, yes I am a Mustang fan I do work in a Mustang shop lol. I like the GTO's as well but Im just not sure what to get. Whatever I do get I plan on keeping it for a long time and plan on alot of modding over the years. Im just not sure witch one is the better option. My mind might change over the time it takes saving up for the car but I just want to have a goal on what Im getting. What do you guys think? Im not worried about what kind of power and speed they make stock, Im more worried about having fun with the car.

either car is a big win in my book, id preferr the GTO just cause interior isnt boring like the mustang and it looks more up to date, other then that both cars are a toss up for me, just cobras ull be looking for a very long time haha

Yea I know there Isnt many around here for sale but Ill find one even If I have to drive a few hours away or maybe more, and yes I agree about the interior besides the ugly steering wheel on the GTO lol

i looked for sh1ts and giggles and all the cobras i see that are 500+ miles away on cars.com are all 95-98, and like a 01 thats a convertible.. boring haha, oh and GTO's apparently are known for crankshafts and ignitions going bad, so that kinda sucks, least i think it was the crankshaft, might be driveshaft

Get an 04 GTO then?

Apparently the interior in them is starting to fail now.

04 wouldn't be a bad option either the LS1 is a great engine, and an 04 is alot cheaper around here atleast

For that price range I'd also look into c5 corvettes. Or save some money and get a 98-02 camaro or trans am and mod them.

Finding a clean C5 or 98-02 F body will be just as time consuming, but equally worth the time.

Big heads up on the C5: parts might kill you.

My friend has a c5 vette a very nice car IMO but not looking for one. Id still like a car with more then 2 seats. Im not a fan of the Camaro's at all, but a WS6 could be an option.

I'd go with the cobra. Love those cars. But in reality, you should probably save up for a house or a more solid investment. Then you can buy brand new corvettes down the raod. Just sayin.

As of right now Im only 18, I know I should save up for a house that wouldn't be a bad idea. However I already do have all my schooling done and all my certifications in Collision Repair so all of that is out of the way. It also wouldn't take me to long to save up the money for a different car maybe a year at most. with still paying my other bills and other stuff I need

I reccomend a LS1 Goat over a 4th gen, anyday.

Honestly, Termis are just in another league. Yes their interiors are kinda bleh but the car makes up for it in every other aspect. Exterior wise, I dont think a Fbody or Goat even comes close to comparing.

How can you say no to this?

I am a big GM guy, but those Termis are just amazing vehicles.

If i were you i would keep the GP.....you have put lots of money and time into that car so switching seems silly...you are only 18 so i would wait a while and then see if you still want to switch down the road

The GTO will be slightly cheaper. If you want more than 2 doors then look no further than a 1st gen CTS-V. What's funny is I'm looking at the same cars you are for my next daily. Leaning more towards the GTO though.

I wont loose all that much money on the car and taking a couple hundred dollar loss on the car isnt that bad. The GP's only going down in value anyway and I just think its time to get out of the FWD automatic thing. The GP is quick yea but im not worried about speed as of right now Id rather have a RWD manual

I only want a 2 door not a 4. And are you leaning more towards an LS2 or LS1 GTO?
