Not sure if I disabled my vats or not

I just swapped a 2002 3800sc from a regal into my 86 fiero convertible. I disabled codes P1626 and p1629-p1631 and changed it from serial to PWM. The car still starts for a second then dies, it will run like Shiite on starting fluid. Now I have codes
p0452, p0463 and p1189. I read that the regal PCM vats can't be disabled in the tune, any truth to that?

Not sure if that is true, but are there any other bins you can run? I mean it is still a 3800. Maybe it's harness is a bit diff. I that the case you could just swap to a diff harness and hen switch to a diff bin where you can disable vats.

The way I have it wired up, it works with 98-02 pcm's. I really DON'T want to have to rewire this, it's a biotch. I'm not sure about different bins, I hope that with hpt I could load a 2000 gtp file over the regal file and be done with it.

Set injector disable time to 0 from 4

Killing the codes only keeps them from reporting. Finding the checksum and flash crap and security in the other areas also does little. disable time is where it's at

Pk where is that located in hpt? I seen it in the gear and differential abuse.

Taht's in DHP, I don't think we can actually disable security in HPT

Paw damn you got me exited for a moment. I was told that with the regal's, they have an anti theft system that can't be disabled. Any truth to that? Also if that's the truth, can I just take a gtp file and write it over top in the PCM?

Hpt support told me that in a status bits log that I sent them that it shows that the vats are ok, but I don't understand that if it says it's ok, wouldn't that mean that it's still enabled and therefore will not start?

I just checked and yeah I have spark and it'll run on starting fluid. I also back probed the injectors and there's power to both wires with KOEO intill it's cranked over then they ground out. I used the power probe III and it went from a positive battery voltage to a negative 0.0.

Anyone? I just checked and while cranking both wires on the injectors ground out. I know the non pink wire will ground out but I assumed the pink would stay hot all the time.

So the 02 wouldn't have vats, it would have passkey 2 or 3. I think 3. Which gives it a chip to excite in the tumbler. Vats is a simple resistor add on to the theft deterrent module. I'm pretty sure you can find into on what signal the pcm wants and bypass it. Heck the swap guys use a monte harness etc, maybe because theft is easier?

Yeah I'm waiting on a 2000 gtp PCM to arrive, from what I've read it's easier to do that than piss with the regal vats.

Well no luck with the wreckers, turns out they didn't have one after all so I just loaded a tune from a 2000 gtp and vroom vroom
