The only way to get the converter off the flex is to turn the motor. If the motor is locked up, it can be a serious battle to unlock it and get the converter off it. Only other way to work around that would be to buy a new converter and hope you don't damage any thing pulling the converter attached to the motor off the input/pump shaft/stator. You would need new converter bolts, most guys don't have spare sets laying around.
 
Trust me, I was under there fighting and banging with an engine over my head supported by a 4x4 because of all our lower mount stupidity. Then the guy standing there said he stuffed it to the floor to kill it fully. I slide out and handed him the tools. Then sat on my butt for the next two hours while he fought it.

if its my flexplate does this sound accurate. in drive i rev some and at some point the car begins moving and then once it did that i died and wont start back up it dims all power as if just starter cant turn it over anymore.. flexplate crossing fingers
