Yea, moisture gets into the transmission fluid just like the engine oil and needs to get baked out. Makes sense to me.
Also wouldnt hurt to make sure your duct work under the bumper isnt missing or damaged.
The lines do run across in that area and one would think that the rushing air past them does help cool them. I might be odd ball thinking here but it might be true that it helps.
Or maybe the factory cooler itself is semi plugged, it should stay near the coolant temp when you arent in traffic. I remember going about 240 miles without stopping and never saw over like 180.
I need to take the car back to school tomorrow so any ideas on things I can do right now would be helpful
Alright. what's it take to put in a trans cooler? something I can do on the side of the street where my car is parked? Or should I have someone out there install it?
