Noob HID Questions

So I got my car this past weekend, and the headlights suck. The low beams have almost a greenish hue to them, and the high beams aren't very bright. I'm looking for the best headlight setup, so should I go with HID's or is there a better way to bright headlights? I like the hyper-white look, so that was my main reason for thinking about going with HIDs. I was looking over BackInBlack's thread on them, but he was getting into a lot more than I plan on. Along with HIDs, there are a few things I don't know....like what do I do for high beams, because I read some people saying about how it takes time for the bulbs to warm up? If anyone could give me some advice on headlights, and remember I'm def a noob when it comes to headlights, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again guys for all the help

It all depends what you want to do, your skill level, and your bank account. You maybe able to get away with a lens restoration on your stock headlights, then a set of good halogen bulbs. You could get projectors off of EBay, but they're not the best, and have certain problems (such as a very annoying bounce) that can be overcome, but need some workarounds. You could get HIDs for your projectors, but then again you have to make sure you get a decent set. What most on here will tell you to do, and is the best results by far, is to retrofit your stock housings with projectors. All the details of what I said can be found by doing searches on here. In your sig the lights don't look stock. Are you sure you don't have HIDs already??
Maybe you just need some new bulbs in the lows.
