• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hey ya'll! I registered a while back when I got a supercharger, K&N, flowmasters and, eibach springs for my '97 Grand Prix se. Since then, I got a good govt. job where I CANNOT get ANY speeding tickets or anything of that nature! Since then, I decided to spend my time and money into audio upgrades! I did the "big 3" with 0 gauge (connected my 220a alt. with a 1.5 volt booster, to the batt., the stock 8 gauge neg. wire got replaced with the good stuff, and took a piece from my motor to my body). I did notice the car does get up and go a little better with the increased voltage! SINCE THEN, I stumbled on a SAZ3500D amp., and ordered a SMD 15"! I need to put in another alternator and more batteries... I still would love to do some minor mods, but mostly electrical.

Thank you!!! And I never got around to putting on the supercharger, mite sell or trade it for batts or alts...

audio :D My brother's company has an audio shop under it's umbrella.

I'm kinda into it too. Ever heard of Safe & Sound? ;) We're from VA.

Cool!!! Close enuf!!! I am in Norfolk! It's cool to have some peeps interested in Grand Prix's close! If there's ever anything you need... I googled "Safe & Sound" and that's kinda close, but it shows as a home security business. I do love my audio, but if I find a way to go a little faster, I'll do it!!!

Why not run one run of 0 Gauge to the trunk to a Batt Cap or Capacitor then to a Distribution block. I have one 0 Gauge going to my trunk from the bat to a 15 Farrad Batt Cap then it have 2 lines coming off it to my two amps. The Negatives i used a distribution block.

Something like this but i think i used Raptor. Just as good as stinger and lil bit cheaper.

Stinger SPD812 PRO Series Power Distribution T-Block

Kinetik HC 600 (KHC600) 850 Amps 20 AH Car Battery Power Cell

If you run one line it will save your in weight and money in 0gauge wire. That 0 gauge isn't cheap.

Just My Opinion...

Caps are not good! They don't hold constant voltage and discharge it evenly. I got rid of my caps with my Punch T1000 and put in a marine battery. I noticed a big difference!!! It was louder, longer and the amp didn't get hot at all! The more power you put in an amp, the more power you get out, and the amp doesn't have to work so hard!
The Sundown Audio SAZ3500D is underrated! It does 3800+ at 12volts! It produce way more at 14v and so fourth. It can take 16v ALL DAY LONG and spit around 5000w! So it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to have a good battery bank for that many watts. 0 gauge goes up to 3500watts, 350 ANL fuses! Whole different ball game! I miss my T1000 and 15" Ascendant Audio "Havoc"! Maybe that's why the dude traded me the SAZ3500D for my 2 Punch 1000 watt amps!
