• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

try unplugging the connector on the alternator. Not the power wire but the signal clip. Start and run the car. Noise Gone?

I forget what wears out, but its a cheap fix.

I have not got a chance to swap out the decks yet so I am still unsure if that is the issue or not. Geddylee, I have not tried grounding it out like that. Deffinitlly an option if The head unit is the problem. I will also check that signal wire on the alternator as well too.I just have the gains turned way down right now to minimize the noise but this way I can't get the amp tuned the way I would like it either. I'm also supposed to go to the stereo shop thursday night for them to take a look at it as well. Thanks for all the input.

If you are still getting that noise out of HU, more than likely the piezo* fuse inside the HU blew. I am misspelling the name of the fuse, but it is something that can be only replaced by a professional or sent back to company to be repaired.

I have a Pioneer 6000 HU and it had some serious ground noise issue and I fixed it by doing this........

I believe you mentioned that you tried this, but with no success? I am not sure if you set yours up like mine, but if you didnt? You might want to try and do it like I did to mine. It worked WONDERS!

If that doesn't solve it, I would say take it back or get another HU unfortuately :(

WOW FREAKIN AMAZING this worked AMAZING I can't beleave it everying works perfect now and it sounds better than it ever did before I tried to fix this on and off for the past 8 months

Glad I could help Jacob! :th_thumb-up: Enjoy your new stereo! :D

I suffered through the same thing you did for about 6 months before I saw this trick! Like you I was simply floored by how well it worked! It is just a shame that Pioneer could not do a better job of grounding their RCA jacks.

Oh I am now this thing sounds like nothing I have ever had before. My wife thanks you too. I just only wish that you could change her taste in music hahaha

she is a R&B girl and I am Rock and Metal haha nice about the Man enough though. Driving the car with no Whinney noise is so nice

i have the same issue with my doubledin its a pioneer so i went to the shop and they installed something called noise suppresor something like that they are little boxis that go on every speaker around the car and eliminates that noice and they did the same thing that the pioneer in the picture has but they did that to my amps RCA plugins and worked fine so i guess you can try that
