...would this be the hub assembly on the front passenger side, or is it something else, like a control arm bushing/ball joint? Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Clunk typically isn't a bearing unless it's beyond shot.

I'd think suspension, take a look at the strut mount, control arm/BJ/endlink
