no top end power?

today i was driving down the highway following my cousin in his 99 taurus with the 3.0 dohc duratec engine with like 200hp,

anyway he was messing around and i go to pass him in my 04 gtp and i seriously didnt start to pull on him until about 100mph and we started at 70ish mph,

i dont understand this, theres no engine codes, had a full tune up outside of new o2 sensors, the car still shows rich fuel trims but thats mainly at lower rpms

what do you guys think?

Maybe you shouldn't be driving a 100 mph running with a Taurus for one...and maybe your converter is on its way out for another guess.

i dont usually drive 100mph! and i understand where your coming from.

i just dont get how i couldnt really pull on him much, its not like he has a powerful engine!, i have been wondering if maybe i have my catalytic converter starting to clog up, if my thinking is right it would explain why the fuel trims are off,
maybe im stupid but i was thinking that if the engine couldnt push air though as fast as the computer is tuned to, then it would have to cut back the amount of fuel to compensate for the air flow, thus the weird fuel trims (-20 - -28)
